Rosa Lee "Rosie" Vogel, 63, Deepwater, Mo., formerly of
Independence, died Saturday, Aug. 10, 2002, at her home.

Mrs. Vogel was born Nov. 8, 1938, in Independence 
and was raised in the Kansas City area, moving to 
Deepwater 33 years ago.

She was a member of Clinton Community of Christ. She 
and her husband owned and operated the Kerr McGee 
service station in Clinton for many years and she worked 
at Westwood Nursing Home in Clinton and Truman 
Lake Manor Nursing Home in Lowry City before retiring.

She was preceded in death by her father, George S. Stowell of
Independence, and two children, Jennifer and Robert Vogel.

Her survivors include her husband, George Vogel, of the 
home; two daughters, Sherry Vogel Thatcher and husband, 
Darrell, Sherwood, Ore., and Kelly Anderson and husband, 
Leonard, Deepwater; two sons, Terry Vogel and Hye Ok, 
Chilhowee, MO, and Steve Vogel and wife, Melanie, 
Deepwater; her mother, Angie Mae Stowell, Lowry City; 
a sister-in-law, Tessie Vogel, Appleton City, MO; 
seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Clinton Community
of Christ, 108 Pawnee. Burial will be in Appleton City Cemetery.
Friends may call from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at the church.
